Colis, Express, Parcel
Don't miss out! While the current focus is on digitalization and online commerce, delivery is one of the main points of customer satisfaction that is too often neglected. Delivery services are increasing in number but do not solve the common problems. Identifying the major issues encountered by delivery actors means understanding their needs to offer an optimized tool.
Expensive deliveries without optimization of shipments
Standardization of delays or losses on package deliveries
Tracking system with extreme inaccuracy and without the possibility of real time-tracking
Frequent loss or receipt of damaged packages
Inability to contact the deliverers directly to arrange a drop-off
Transportation is one of the most polluting industries on the planet
Digitising a business is costly, especially for small merchants
The introduction of a delivery service requires a significant additional investment
The offer of a delivery service on a small scale is almost unattainable
Service too costly for a standardized and non-flexible offer
Inability to track instantly the location of the drivers to optimize its service or accurately assess its performance
No centralized solution that can manage your daily challenges on a single platform
The delivery person remains the only physical contact the customer perceives, often devalued and impersonal
Too many bad customer experiences without real solutions to address these issues
Poor transport space optimization leads to additional costs for deliveries
Inability to track deliverers and establish accurate delivery windows for end-customers
Limited delivery options that prevent a complete offer
¼ of the costs are essentially concentrated in last mile delivery
Single trips that do not allow you to optimize your delivery days and get a turnkey delivery forecast
Too high commissions from the platforms for each delivery
Insufficient assurance for the service provided which does not protect the deliverers from potential delivery problems
Mandatory shifts with no guarantee of payment for hours worked
We all had the same problems
Gaspard .T – 22 years old ” I had a package delivered, it arrived on the only day of the week I was not there. I had no choice of time and no one in my place to pick it up. So, they send it back to the post office, which meant I had to pick it up several days later “
Adrien .B- 25 years old ” I had a parcel delivered from Sweden, it was impossible for me to track the parcel coming from abroad and there was an error in the delivery address, the parcel had to be sent back to Sweden, and the sender had to pay a new shipment “
Léo .J- 28 years old ” According to my parcel tracker, the package arrived at its destination, but someone else pick it up for me and I don’t know who “
Camille .C- 30 years old ” I can’t have a mirror delivered to complete my home decoration, I can’t buy it in the store because it’s too heavy, but each delivery results in a broken package “
Claire .D- 35 years old ” I want to be careful of my carbon footprint, but it always forces me to choose between speed or respect for the planet by favoring longer shipments “
Dissatisfied with the delivery standards! The STORK project was born
After 6 months of confinement, Julien was able to finalize the project. The project boards are ready, the functionalities decided, the business model as well. Roger Crook, former CEO of DHL, trusted us and joined the adventure as our first investor and strategic director.
First version of our App to uberize and improve delivery like never before. AXA trusts us and, after more than a year of work, we have our own insurance tailored to the Stork’s needs.
Stork takes off and makes last mile deliveries as well as full truck and plane deliveries around the world.
STORK unveils its new app but also its revolutionary pro software for (e)retailers, large groups and logisticians. STORK becomes the One place to Ship!
With over 25 years of experience in international leadership, this Former Global CEO of DHL Global Forwarding brings us his unique strategic and operational expertise to help us manage our start up!
Unfortunately, the traditional CEP industry has many challenges that need to be addressed. Too many constraints are given to the end-customers who should not have to be so flexible on a service they pay for. It is simple, can you imagine paying for a meal that is half served, poorly presented, or never arrives at your table? The same should be true for delivery. Too many service failures have been normalized; no delivery on weekends and holidays, no pick-up times given, delivery windows between 8am and 6pm, delays, breakages, losses… you name it. It is time to reverse the trend!
Related to my previous answer, it is time to create an optimized CEP market. What STORK has been able to visualize is that the improvement of the service requires more than just the optimization of the last mile delivery. The whole value chain must be considered, from the logistics provider to the e-merchants, small retailers, delivery companies to private individuals. If we want to offer a seamless CEP market, we need to understand the challenges of the various players, solve them, and link them to create a complementary ecosystem that is constantly improving. This is the value proposition of STORK.
By offering a solution for every actor in the market, it optimizes all the steps of the sector, something that has never been done before. In addition to being a pioneer, STORK has developed a unique technology by integrating an AI and a machine learning tool, which already makes the difference since its improvement and optimization are endless. STORK has already developed an application, a plug-in or API and a Dashboard. These tools connect individuals, merchants, delivery companies and logisticians. Its solution allows to optimize the market, to limit the pollution of the sector, to reduce the costs, therefore a cheaper offer and a traceable, personalized, and flexible service. As it develops and is commercialized, STORK could reach up to 20% of the CEP market.
When I met the founder of STORK, Julien Lenne, it clicked. He is an ambitious entrepreneur who is motivated to turn the market upside down and to finally offer a respectful and optimized process industry. In an age where innovation is essential, Julien was able to bring together all these notions in the daily life of STORK and through hard work, deliver a solution with huge potential. It was therefore obvious to join them in their project.
My 30 years of experience in the CEP sector gives me a very precise vision of the needs of the market and an understanding of the new challenges facing this industry. Today we are working hand in hand to offer a unique solution, which I would like to take and develop internationally.
