Description
The first phase of Stork’s development has led to creating an advanced technology capable of disrupting the delivery market. Today, our mission is to bring it to market and make Stork a major player for all prospects in the delivery industry. Therefore, we are looking for a Lead architect. You will have a key role in the strategy of Stork and will be at the heart of our fast-growing project.
Objectives
- Reporting to the CTO, the Lead Architect defines and implements the architecture of all our systems, according to the product roadmap
- This recruitment follows the company’s desire to create a complete R&D team in France that will take the lead on the current team located in Bulgaria. By the end of 2022, the total number of people in the team will be between 15 and 20, part of which will be in Bulgaria.
Missions
- It defines the hardware and software architecture for all our digital products:
- Application servers and database
- Data processing and reporting servers
- Mobile applications
- Web applications
- In detail, we are planning to move part of our architecture to public cloud services (AWS or GCP). He/she will define and supervise the implementation and migration of current services to the cloud.
- He/she is in charge of the overall software quality
- Development best practices, coding rules
- Continuous integration strategies (CI/CD)
- Documentation
- On boarding of new developers, packaging of development environments
- Testing strategy (unit, integration)
- Benchmark and stress tests of the architecture
- Team development methods (code review, technical skills reviews)
- Participates in the recruitment of new developers
- He/she sets up reporting on the use of the architecture (performance, consumption)
Required skills and experiences
- BAC+5 Engineering school in computer science
- 10 years of experience as a lead developer / architect or 5 years as a software architect for digital products
- Concrete experience on the implementation of public clouds (AWS, GCP or Azure)
- Experience in managing a team of developers
- Knowledge of the Agile method
- Experience in Node JS, Typescript is essential
- Experience in Angular, Ionic / Cordova is desired
- Experience in a startup environment
- Fluent English required as the technical teams are partly non-French speaking
- Knowledge of the logistics sector recommended.
